Why join EWA Boost' UK mentorship programme?

Women continue to face unique challenges in the workplace – from securing funding as founders and demonstrating leadership potential to achieving fair pay and work-life balance. ESSEC alumnae are no exception.

Over the past decade, the EWA Boost’ mentoring programme has supported more than 350 mentees in accelerating their careers, successfully transitioning internationally, joining boards, and launching businesses.

Following its success in Paris, EWA Boost’ has been running in the UK since 2020, with smaller cohorts and a dedicated focus on the UK professional landscape. This year we will be celebrating 5 years of the programme here in the UK.

What can you expect from your mentor ?

A mentor is a person who, outside of any hierarchical, family, or financial relationship, will inspire or, perhaps, even challenge your thinking by drawing upon their unique professional and personal experience.

However a mentor is not:

  • a coach, whose role is to support a person by implementing professional processes so that they can overcome their obstacles, help them build their own solutions, grow and become more effective in achieving the objectives defined at the outset. A coach does not share their personal experiences, or only in very specific cases,
  • a consultant, who often knows the technical aspects of the mentee's profession and comes in as an expert with solutions/recommendations for the problems raised,
  • a therapist, who supports the healing of your personal wounds, often linked to childhood,
  • nor an address book to be drawn from without restraint.

The mentoring relationship is based on trust and a shared commitment to walk the path of clarifying your desires, ideas, and objectives through supportive exchanges based on mutual questioning. Mentoring is more the art of questioning and holding up a mirror than of providing systematic solutions.

Our 2026 Mentors

Our mentors are UK-based ESSEC alumni, including C-suite executives and industry leaders in tech, finance, and law. They are recognised thought leaders who are eager to share their expertise and support the next generation of female leaders. See document at the bottom of the page.

Are you ready to take the next step in your career?
