Jing Yi Teo (BBA 18), co-initiator of innovation and strategy consultancy ArtBizTech, is hosting a workshop with artist Teow Yue Han on the topic Embodied Knowledge on 26 September (9 am UK / 4 pm Singapore). Join to discover Yue Han’s approach to dance and to learn how to better understand human movement and include that knowledge in governing society, running businesses, administering technological development and managing smart cities. “In other words: if we see society as a dance piece, how might we choreograph it to consider movements that are immeasurable?”
About Rhizomatic Thinking Circuits:
A Rhizomatic Thinking Circuit is a workshop based on a contemporary topic as approached and presented by an artist. Held online via Zoom, each session is split into two 90-minute parts with a 15-minute break in between, and involves periodic small-group discussions in ‘break-out rooms’. In Part I, participants are introduced to the topic and prompted with questions for small-group discussion leading to deeper understanding of the new concepts introduced. The main inquiries spill over into Part II where participants are guided through collective association exercises to form questions and ultimately create a “rhizomap” -- a rhizomatic style of mind-mapping -- with the help of live-canvas platform Mural and original facilitation methods that integrate Design Thinking techniques.
