During this session, we will have the opportunity to hear from a world renown panel of experts around Football’s Digital Revolution. After this exchange which will last 1 hour, we will give the opportunity to the ESSEC Alumni attendees and current students to follow-up with a networking session where we will divided attendees in small break-out rooms to discuss further for the second hour of the event.


Here are the profiles of our experts:

    • Rebecca Smith: Bex is an international football legend who’s transitioned to a global executive in sports and business. World Cup and Olympic footballer captaining New Zealand, Bex’s club career culminating by winning The Triple with VfL Wolfsburg as UEFA Champions League, German League, and German Cup winners. She transitioned into business with FIFA as the Competitions Manager of the Women’s World Cups and Strategic Planning, and she is now the Global Executive Director of Women’s Game for COPA90, the world’s largest independent football media business.
    • Simon Meehan: as Head of Publishing for Chelsea Football Club, Simon is responsible for everything published on digital channels and communication with Chelsea’s fanbase worldwide. Simon previously worked in public affairs for 13 years, with Google, Tata Group and in the European Parliament. He switched to the world of football in 2018, working with House of Greenland to develop long-form documentaries and was appointed Head of Content Services at Twenty3, a sports content agency, in 2019.
    • Nat Black-Heaven: A social media strategist professional that has experience working for large scale sports companies like ESPN, BBC Sport, Manchester City Football Club and Juventus. Now working for a sports consultancy company, delivering the strategy for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup for the Supreme Committee of Qatar, Nat knows the ins and outs of delivering a successful social media sports strategy.
