Will Digital Transformation Help Create a More Sustainable World?
Will Digital Tranformation Help Create a More Sustainable World?
In this day and age, if there are two trends that are global, they are concerns about sustainability and aspirations about digital technologies. They have usually taken their own distinct paths, but their common element is technological progress. Digital technologies are changing how billions of people work, live, connect, and consume. On the other hand, the crisis of climate change and resource depletion is likely to affect all humans -- soon to become eight billion by 2023.
This is the 4th edition of the ESSEC - Capgemini Invent Digital Innovation and Sustainability Roundtable. Our topic for this year's roundtable - "Will Digital Transformation Help Create a More Sustainable World?" - asks us to reflect on the promises and perils of digitalization.
