Geraldine BAUDIENVILLE

I have 20 years of experience in international development, working in various emerging and developing countries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. My expertise includes strategy consulting, project finance, and program and team management. I have collaborated with both public clients (international organisations) and private clients (local and international enterprises) across sectors such as agriculture, energy & environment, and inclusive growth & social development.

Currently, I work as an independent consultant on climate-related projects, focusing on improving agricultural value chains, addressing carbon emissions, water, and waste impacts; enhancing access to clean energy (solar, micro-hydro, biomass) and energy efficiency (financial sector); and advancing waste management (plastic, electric, and electronic waste) in developing countries.

I am a former Principal Consultant at South Pole, a world-leading carbon project expert and climate consultancy. Previously, I was a Director at Altai Consulting, a management consulting firm specialising in emerging and developing countries. I have also worked as an investment manager at Agence Française de Développement/Proparco, focusing on project and corporate financing in Africa and Asia, and as a Research Fellow at the Overseas Development Institute. I hold an MBA from ESSEC-Paris.
