Cette page n'est pas disponible en Français

Dear friends,

Anna, our “local guide” and a true fan of Jérôme Bosch, invites us to a family-friendly visit to discover the painter’s hometown.

If you wish to join this event, please send an email to anna.bisch@hotmail.com before Oct 10.

📍 Meeting point at the station
Anna will meet us at ’s-Hertogenbosch station.
➡️ Meeting spot: inside the station building (upper level), near the escalator going down towards the city center (not towards Paleis Kwartier).

☕ At the station, there is a café (Starbucks) and restrooms (approx. €1).

🗺️ Program of the day

  • 10-minute walk to the Markt, passing by the famous Jan de Groot pastry shop (home of the Bossche Bollen, a local specialty we can also taste in many cafés around town).
  • 40-minute city tour: Markt, Bosch’s house and monument, charming streets, St. John’s Cathedral, The Angel is Calling, Parade square, and a view of the Dieze river.
  • Lunch in one of the cafés/restaurants of Korte Putstraat (famous for fresh local food, approx. €20-25 per person).
👉 If you would like to join Anna for lunch, please send her a WhatsApp message no later than October 10th so she can make a reservation. Anna's number: 06 37 45 21 64
👉 Those who prefer can eat freely on the Markt square, at HEMA, or in other cafés (often less expensive, also serving Bossche Bollen).
  • 40-minute walk followed by a 45-minute visit to the Hieronymus Bosch Art Center (entry: €8/person) to see paintings, fantastic creatures, sculptures, and the spectacular clock illustrating Heaven and Hell.
  • Visit of the souvenir and book shop.
  • Return to the station with Anna.

💡 Den Bosch is full of little surprises: Bosch’s monsters hidden in the streets, tiny sculptures, sweet treats, and a very warm atmosphere.
