In Memory of Solal: Running, Riding, and Rising for a Cause That Matters

“Together We Care” is a collective initiative led by ESSEC Alumni to mobilise our community around causes that reflect the values we hold dear: solidarity, humanism, and action for the common good

Whether through fundraising, volunteering, or awareness campaigns, Together We Care channels the energy of ESSEC graduates and students to support impactful projects — in France and beyond.

This year, we unite in memory of Solal to support Imagine for Margo in the fight against pediatric cancer. A cause that touches the heart, brings people together, and reminds us what community truly means.

Solal was a radiant child. A fighter. A superhero.
He faced cancer with unimaginable strength and inspired everyone around him. His story gave rise to a mission that continues today: to bring hope, comfort, and support to children battling illness and to the families who stand by them.

In his memory, a growing movement has brought together compassion, action, and collective energy to change lives.

This year, we invite the entire ESSEC community — students, alumni, faculty, and friends — to participate in a solidarity-driven adventure that reflects the humanist values at the heart of our school.

💪 1. Join the Charity Race – Run or Walk for Hope

📍 Sunday, 28 September 2025 – Saint-Cloud or remotely

This inclusive, family-friendly event invites everyone to move with purpose. Choose your pace and your path:
• 5 km walk
• 5 km run
• 10 km run

Each participant commits to raising a minimum of:
€200 (or €100 for students and minors)
Good to know: 66% of donations are tax-deductible in France.

👉 Registration deadline: Wednesday, 24 September 2025

🚴 2. Support the 400 km Cycling Challenge – Vézelay to Paris

This year, 25 cyclists will ride 400 km with one bold goal: raise €400,000 to accelerate pediatric cancer research.

Among them is Stefane Hédont, Co-lead of the ESSEC Sustainable Business Club, taking on the challenge in honor of Solal and all children fighting this disease.

Every donation fuels their journey — and lights the path forward.

📢 3. Spread the Word – One Share Can Save a Life

Not everyone can run or ride — but everyone can raise awareness. A simple like, share, or comment helps this cause gain momentum.

📅 Key Dates

Race Day: Sunday, 28 September 2025
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, 24 September
Fundraising Deadline: Sunday, 28 September

💡 Why This Matters

🎗 Pediatric cancers remain underfunded
⚕️ Treatments are still often designed for adults, not children
💯 100% of donations go directly to cutting-edge research and support services for affected families

We’re not just running or cycling. We’re fighting for the future of thousands of children.

🦋 About Imagine for Margo

Our partner in this initiative, Imagine for Margo, was founded in 2011 to continue the legacy of young Margo, whose determination and courage sparked a national movement. The association raises funds to accelerate research, improve treatments, and offer concrete support to families facing pediatric cancer.

Together, we imagine a world where children no longer have to fight for their lives — and we work to make that world a reality.

🤝 Together, Let’s Carry Solal’s Light Forward

This is more than a fundraiser. It’s a tribute. A promise. A stand.
Let's act together in Solal’s memory — and for every child who still has a battle ahead.

💙 Join the movement. Donate. Spread the word.
