12.06.2022

Congratulations to the 5 winners of our Asso Rezo call for projects geared towards ESSEC student organisations, and our thanks to the 1,100 alumni who participated in the vote!

Following a pre-selection by ESSEC Alumni of the  12 finalist projects  (in French) out of 31 entries , judged on their relevance to its strategic pillars (Inspire, Connect, Support, Together to Act) and ESSEC values (humanism, innovation, responsibility, excellence and diversity), in addition to their originality and the quality of their application in line with the specifications brief, ESSEC students and graduates voted online from November 22 to December 2. The votes from the ESSEC community were then counted to determine the 5 winning projects.
The competition was tight, but the organisations Melt, AVE, Le Bureau des Arts, EDI and Tech ESSEC each came away with a prize of up to €2,000. This financial support is coupled with publicity and connections with the graduate network.

Congratulations to the winning organisations, which you can (re)discover below, and a huge thank you to all the participating groups! Note: the next edition of the call for projects will take place in early 2023 (applications will open in late February).

Melt ESSEC
International Melt'working

International Melt'working will be a networking evening in Paris for international ESSEC students and graduates, in particular those working for companies with opportunities for non-French speakers. ‘We’re pursuing three objectives through this event. First, to allow international ESSEC students and graduates with similar paths to meet each other, but also to bring French and international ESSEC together. Second, to share experience on the career opportunities and work issues in France for non-French speakers. Third, to provide career path models to international students through testimonies from international graduates.’

 AVE (Association Vidéo ESSEC)
Digitalisation of archives and the production of a film tracing the history of ESSEC

Since its creation, AVE (Association Vidéo ESSEC) has been documenting the student life of the school by filming key events on the Cergy campus. The association thus possesses over 30 years of archive content. By investing in suitable equipment, AVE will be able to digitalise, conserve and protect these archives. This digitalised content will then serve to produce a historical film to be screened at an ESSEC event in June 2023.

BDA (Bureau des Arts)
ESSEC Bienniale: The Realm of Invisible

The BDA (or Arts Office) will organise the first edition of the ESSEC Arts Bienniale in spring 2023, around the theme The Realm of Invisible, aimed at placing student creativity at the heart of campus life. Students will be invited to share their works via an interactive exhibition on ‘Invisible Creativity’ which will be held in the Grand Hall. The idea is to transform this passageway into a venue for encounter and exchange. The event will also feature in a review and videos broadcast to the entire ESSEC community. Open to all artistic fields, whether music, sculpture or poetry, etc.

ESSEC International Development (EDI)
‘Cocinando Me Integro’ in Argentina

The aim of the Cocinando Me Integro project is to offer cookery workshops to women who are victims of domestic violence, in a poverty-stricken suburb of San Ignacio. ‘This provides them with a venue where they can speak in safety of what they’ve been through and receive support from psychologists and peers. Cooking, an inherent feature of Argentinian culture, thus becomes a means for free speech and emancipation.’ The project is led with the support of Fortalecer Misiones, a local NGO.
