On May 23rd, Thierry  Fritsch (E80), ESSEC Foundation President and Laetitia de Chabot, Executive Director gathered 180 alumni, current or potential donors, at the French Embassy Residence in London to celebrate ESSEC Foundation’s 7th anniversary.

This event was held in the presence of His Excellency, Ambassador Jean-Pierre Jouyet, Annick Schwebig, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Charles Bouaziz (E85), ESSEC Alumni President, Stéphanie Jossermoz (E94), ESSEC Alumni Executive Director, Vincenzo Esposito Vinzi, Dean and President of ESSEC Business School and Michel Baroni, Doyen des Professeurs.

A very special thanks goes to Ambassador Jean-Pierre Jouyet, Ardian UK (sponsor for the cocktail) and ESSEC Alumni in London who took actively part in this evening to make it a success. Here are some pictures to let everyone experience this atmosphere.

Celebrating its 7th anniversary, ESSEC Foundation took the opportunity to show how each and every donation concretely supports the School’s priority projects (Scholarships, Digital, Entrepreneurship, Finance Lab, international outreach…).

As part of the French government’s plan to improve public finances, the area's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR) has officially announced it will gradually eliminate the subsidies and grants (€8 million) allotted to ESSEC over a period of three years, already effective for the 2017-2018 academic year.

In these circumstances, and in light of the ambitious challenges for the School shared by Vincenzo Vinzi, ESSEC Foundation’s financial support has become all the more essential. ESSEC Foudation needs the support of all alumni now more than ever, whether they  completed the Grande Ecole, Global BBA, MBA, Masters or ESSEC Executive Education.

This evening was also a good opportunity to clarify ESSEC Alumni and ESSEC Foundation’s distinctive roles:

  • a graduate joins ESSEC Alumni as a member to benefit from various services (career-coaching programs, directory services, Reflets ESSEC Magazine…)
  • a graduate becomes a donor to ESSEC Foundation to help finance core projects for ESSEC development (scholarships, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, endowment fund…)
