About our guest speakers:
Luke Aitken leads government relations engagement and public policy for eBay Australia. With eBay sitting at the nexus of global technology and commerce, Luke’s role works across new and emerging issues in tax, global trade and consumer law. Luke also advocates to Government on ways to improve the operating environment for business to make it easier to invest and grow online.
Dr. Peter O'Connor is a Professor of Strategic Management at UniSa Business. His research and teaching focus on the effect of digital on business, particularly on retailing and marketing. Peter has published in leading academic journals including the Journal of Marketing, Harvard Business Review, and the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services. Prior to joining UniSA, Peter founded the Chair in Digital Disruption at Essec Business School, where he held various other academic roles.
Ivan Varela is responsible for export sales at Philmac, Aliaxis Group. Ivan started his career as an engineer technical lead in the aluminum transformation industry (Alcoa and Jimten) before moving to Australia to head the Innovation Program at Aliaxis APAC. Ivan now leads international business development at Philmac in South Australia.
The event will be facilitated by Madly Bodin and Christophe Brulliard from ESSEC Alumni Australia.
