La Laiterie Gilbert: Big Cheese

Entrepreneurs

05.26.2016

After 15 years on the trading floor, Christophe Chaperon (E91) took over Laiterie Gilbert, a Grenoble favorite since 1948, and turned it into the first cheese shop franchise in France.

Christophe Chaperon's motto could be proximity, advice, quality. In two years, he opened five shops in the Rhône-Alpes region. At the end of 2015, he franchised his brand and the first store opened in Nice.

Since then, candidates have been pouring in. The aim is to do what Nicolas did with wine. The company has doubled in size and expects €3 million in sales this year.
