Outlierz Ventures: Investing in Africa

Entrepreneurs

-

12.23.2019

Located in Morocco, Kenza Lahlou (M12) founded Outlierz Ventures, a venture capital investment fund for African startups at seed and pre-series A stage.

Outlierz Ventures invests in tech-enabled startups that solve a real problem in a key sector in Africa, with a scalable business model (fintech, insurtech, agritech, health tech, logistics, etc.). The fund also supports various startups from African migrants throughout the world.

Its first investments: WaystoCap (Morocco), a marketplace enabling African SMEs to import and export products safely and reliably; Sokowatch (Kenya), a solution that digitalises mass market product distribution in traditional African networks; Asoko Insight (Sub-Saharan Africa), a platform that organises the data of private companies and sectors in Africa; and MaxAB (Egypt), a predictive micro-distribution platform for shopkeepers.

Our aim is to provide smart capital for entrepreneurs who use new technology as a lever to transform the African economies.
